Donald J. Talken, age 80, of Quincy, IL died on Monday, November 23, 2020 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on March 21, 1940 in Quincy, IL the son of Herman J. & Eugenie (Grave) Talken. He graduated from Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. For 6 years, Donald was a brother in the Viatorian Order. During that time he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics from Loyola University. He married Judith Geise on January 14, 1967. She survives.
Mr. Talken was a computer analyst at various companies throughout the years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the Bogey Busters golfing group.

THREE CHILDREN: Bill Talken (Kim) of the Quad Cities, IA; Patrick Talken (Shannon) of Grand Rapids, MI and Matt Talken (Kim) of Chatham, IL.
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: Andrew Talken, Abbie Talken, Ophelia Huerta, Elijah Talken and Elyse Talken.
ONE BROTHER: Jim Talken (Mary)
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Mark Talken.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. A Celebration of Don’s life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, St. Anthony Catholic Church and the American Cancer Society.
